My client is currently recruiting for an Assistant Corporate Accountant to join their busy Finance team for a period of 12 months with the potential to go permanent. This is a great opportunity for someone to get into a Finance role and learn a great deal about how a client focused finance team operates. The ideal candidate will be someone with a strong work ethic that desires to learn the in's and out's of financial operations.

Overall Purpose of Job

Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role is part of a well balanced team, supporting the day to day activities for client delivery, whilst maintaining database updates and reviewing, analysing and obtaining invoice approval.

Main Duties, Responsibilities & Accountabilities

This role will require an individual that possesses a varied accounts department background and will be required to perform the following duties:
*Responsible for maintaining database updates which drive the finance function and reporting
*Matching, batching and coding supplier invoices, obtaining authorisation whilst adhering to the procedures
*Verifying invoices back to the database and where variances are found, investigating and seeking approval
*Liaising with suppliers to assist with resolution of queries
*Assist Corporate Accountants with the monthly and quarterly financial reporting
*Updating compliance reports relevant to the team and clients
*Adhering to RICs guidelines
*Preparing documentation for all payments and liaising with Cashiers and Treasury Compliance on all banking related issues i.e. transfers to client, month end updates and bank reconciliations
*Liaise and work with the Credit Control team to ensure prompt debt collection and management of arrears
*Respond to and liaise with the Helpdesk to resolve general client queries

Skills & Experience

Ideal for any individual with motivation to learn and develop any existing skills. The selected candidate will have the following:
*Experience of working to tight deadlines
*Accuracy and attention to detail
*Strong analytical skills
*Ability to listen to the stakeholders request, interpret and provide a resolution
*Ability to deal with high volumes of work and prioritise accordingly
*Excellent communication skills
*High level of IT knowledge including advanced knowledge of excel
*Autonomy and ability to work with minimal supervision
