Front End Developer Based in Cardiff £28,899 Per annum Would you like to work for one of the Countries award winning not for profit organisations with recent accreditation for being one of the best companies to work for? The Front End Developer will assist with the delivery of key business applications and systems which are fit for purpose, intuitive, device independent and visually appealing. This includes designing engaging user experiences and developing these into clean, accessible HTML and CSS. As the successful Front End Developer you will: * Lead on the design and development of engaging user experiences that are visually aesthetic, intuitive, accessible and device independent * Lead on the integration of developed designs into the content management systems * Support the configuration and maintenance of the content management systems * Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with existing business systems and sites * Assist the development of data-driven web interfaces for rapid, real-time information sharing * Work with the Organisational Development team to produce appropriate documentation and training materials * Ensure all coding adheres to industry standards * Support the Development Manager, ensuring all project plans and the programme of works are up to date and accurate * Liaise with the Infrastructure Team to ensure that relevant system and network resources are available and utilised effectively * Liaise with the Operations Team to ensure business systems and websites are properly documented, operate to optimum efficiency and can be fully supported * Prepare and lead on user experience discovery and testing workshops * Translate user requirements into user stories, sketches, wireframes and prototypes that lead to intuitive user experiences * Make design and user-experience decisions related to core, and new, functions and features * Develop and maintain style guides for the website and other applications * Present and explain designs to key stakeholders within the organisation * Assist with the continuous review and tuning of the bespoke user interfaces * Maintain knowledge and awareness of new techniques and trends in web design, user experience and front-end development * Design, code, test and debug critical business and web applications in various programming languages * Assist in the development and evolution of the website in line with organisational strategy * Research, identify and evaluate new technologies for implementation * Create, review and maintain technical documentation using defined templates * Advise on purchase and implementation of relevant software, writing technical specifications as necessary Personal Specification: * Knowledge working with Sitecore Experience Platform (or similar CMS) is highly desirable but not essential as training will be provided. * You will need to show adaptability, reliability, the ability to deliver to timescales and a commitment to collaborative working. * You will be an excellent communicator, have an analytical mind set, and a passion for development.
