European Sales & Marketing Manager

Location: based in London, must be flexible to travel in and around Europe

Salary: £43.5k + commission and bonus


* Responsible for managing distributors, retailers and Duty Free in Central and
Eastern European markets including negotiating best commercial terms, maintaining
strategic relations with partners and new business development.
* Responsible for agreeing an annual business and marketing plan with distributors by account to ensure growth of the business and achievement of annual targets.
* Preparation of the A&P budgets per market to achieve maximum brand visibility.
* Responsible for pursuing marketing and promotional opportunities for the brand.
* Responsible for planning and co-ordination of new product launches including
marketing activities as well as preparation of an annual training and VM programme.
* Press/PR events, trade shows.
* Responsible for training of global staff in sales techniques, product knowledge,
brand ambassadors training

Ideal candidate background:
*MUST be have a proactive character - needs to be a self-starter, a team player who knows how to get on with work, in a methodical manner
*MUST understand luxury goods, with an international clientele
*MUST be sales and targets driven, with enthusiasm and energy - a can-do/will-do approach that is approachable and likeable
*MUST have wholesale and retail experience, or at least a clear and practical understanding of both
*MUST be highly presentable and well groomed. A need to look the part is essential
*MUST have strong numeracy, literacy and presentational ability
*MUST have a strong mix of skills; good knowledge of dealing with distributors, and retailers is vital; skilled in finding out about what's going on internally; staff and management changes, opportunities for promotions, competitor activity, etc.
*MUST have the ability to travel, to visit all stores (department, independents, airports) and come away with an order
*MUST possess strong IT skills: Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Social Media/Website platforms in particular
*A strong all-rounder who is utterly sales and target driven and can demonstrate proven sales success
*Ideally educated to degree or degree equivalent: (within Marketing or Business would be a plus)
