Our client, who works within the legal sector, is looking to recruit a finance assistant to join their finance team in Birmingham. You will be reporting to the Head of Finance and assisting in the day-to-day processes of the company. Our client is looking for a hard working and resilient individual who is eager to learn.
Your daily duties will include:
Producing monthly management accounts, including the P&L, balance sheet, and variance analysis
Preparing VAT returns
Processing the monthly payroll, including adjustments, pensions, expenses etc.
Producing sales invoices and taking responsibility of debt management
Reconciling and processing purchase ledger invoices
Interpreting financial data and producing KPIs and monthly reports for managers
Assisting in the production of budget and quarterly forecasting
The ideal candidate will have excellent IT skills, with experience using Sage accounting, and must be able to demonstrate high levels of numeracy and literacy. They will also have strong customer service skills and 12 months of experience working within finance.
