Experienced Delivery Manager/ Project Manager - Infrastructure

We are looking for an experienced Delivery Manager/ Project Manager to join our Delivery team on a permanent basis to manage the delivery of IT projects

Infrastructure delivery experience is essential along with being able to demonstrate experience of deploying wide scale change to circa of 2500 users. The successful candidate must be capable of 'hitting the ground running' with minimal supervision and work effectively under pressure.

The Projects:

  • Upgrade Projects
    • Oracle Forms
    • Linux
    • Dynatrace
    • e-Cloud - Building internal capability to build and run digital services in Amazon Web Services (our preferred cloud provider).

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the delivery of projects, tasks for example but not limited to:
  • Running/taking part in daily stand-ups
  • Creating/Updating Jira tickets
  • Assist the Lead Project Manager with:
    • Resource planning (IT & Business) including holiday management/visibility
    • Capturing and follow up of actions/tasks
    • Reporting project level and exec
    • Set up of meetings/conference calls
    • Documentation/communication to end users
    • Maintenance of financial reporting and liaising with PMO for raising/approval of PO's & tracking/confirming deliverables and milestone payments
    • Manage and maintain risks, issues, decisions, change control, registers
    • Manage and maintain the projects document repositories/artefacts

Experience:

  • Solid Project Management experience ideally in a regulated industry, preferably financial services
  • Strong delivery management/project management experience on multiple projects and/or programmes
  • Project Management certification and experience of Agile delivery
  • Proven risk, issue & dependency management
  • Full project management toolset including Jira, MSP, MS Office, ITSM (desirable)
  • Adept and experienced at working as part of a team delivering large scale technical/business implementations
  • Strong organisation skills
  • Clear and professional communication skills at all levels
  • Good team management and leadership of both technical teams and rollout teams
  • Excellent supplier management with demonstrable ability to both control and motivate 3rd parties
  • Focus on end user business goals rather than just technology requirements
