Evolve Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Senior Supply Planner for our client who are a worldwide leader in Consumer and Professional goods, with global sales of $5.5bn and over 22,000 employees. The organisation is renowned for their unrelenting strategic focus on powerful brands and innovative products. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in a similar role and an understanding of MRP systems. Key Responsibilities: ·A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Supply Planner to be responsible for optimising inventory levels across the supply chain network. ·The Supply Planner will act as the lead interface to manufacturing to maintain supply and solve any supply issues ·Co-ordinating expediting of urgent goods with manufacturing ·Generate the Purchase plan in line with the forecast and inventory budgets/targets. Place orders upon Manufacturing based upon agreed lead time ·Manage products through their life cycle, ensuring old product is cleared and the replacement product is introduced on time ·Conduct root cause analysis for supply chain issues and implement corrective actions. Monthly reporting to support inventory levels are line with Budget / Targets and implement actions to mitigate risks ·Review stock shortage and recommend mitigating action. Manage inventory excess and obsolescence to minimise write-offs ·Co-ordinate inbound inventory to meet demand working with the Distribution Centres ·Implement and maintain Inventory Strategies by optimisation of inventory parameters and levels (e.g. reorder point, safety stock, ABC classification). Maintain supply master data including PIR/ Source lists for DRP ·Conduct regular reviews with demand planning, sales and marketing to ensure issues that impact supply for existing and new products are flagged, such as lead-times, production delays, capacity issues, MOQs and new product launches are highlighted in time to agree and implement actions to mitigate risks ·Support in implementation of a new Supply planning IT solution ·Occasional European travel may be required Key Skills: ·Graduate degree with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role with good experience with and understanding of MRP systems ·Strong IT skills, advanced Excel, knowledge of ERP systems ·Strong planning and analysis skills ·Good time management with the ability to work with minimal supervision and meet deadlines ·Ability to think strategically considering the bigger picture If you feel that you have the right skills or experience for the position, please send a copy of your CV to Evolve Recruitment, Kingston upon Thames, at (url removed)
