Studio Team Leader
One of the region's most prolific and prestigious integrated agencies is now seeking a Studio Team Leader to join their artwork studio.
As part of this fast-paced artwork studio, you will assist the Studio Director and the Group Head to ensure that the studio runs efficiently. You'll manage a small team, motivating and enthusing them while also overseeing and ensuring that all work is completed to a high standard and to tight deadlines, and evaluating and developing their skills. The role will see you trafficking and briefing artwork, managing workloads, liaising regularly with the Creative and Account teams, maintaining and supervising brand guardianship, preparing design files to a digital reprographic standard ready for pre-press production, preparing artwork for press, POS, brochures, leaflets, DM, and templates, producing web banners and email templates, building and managing print, press, and digital templates and accompanying assets, manipulating and retouching imagery to a high standard, creative artworking from scamps and verbal briefs, generating a full suite of campaign pieces, and developing Mac visuals. You should also be happy to be flexible and to work outside regular office hours when necessary, and to cover for the Studio Director and Group Head when needed.
What we're looking for:
Experience as a Senior or Creative Artworker in a Mac environment is certainly required, preferably in a busy and fast-paced setting combining print, press, and digital production. You will need thorough knowledge of the latest production / print techniques, excellent typographic and design skills, experience in creating artwork from scamps or verbal briefs, and experience of image retouching and manipulation; experience of managing a small team is highly desirable. You will be able to deliver accurate and high quality work under pressure and to tight deadlines while demonstrating excellent attention to detail, and be able to artwork quickly and comprehensively to a high standard. You should also be well organised, reliable, hard-working, able to work alone and as part of a team, self-motivated, enthusiastic (particularly about your work!), conscientious, professional, and thorough, with excellent communication skills and the ability to manage staff and delegate efficiently.
In terms of technical skills, you must be fully conversant with the latest Mac hardware and system software, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Microsoft Word and Excel, PDF technologies, methods of artwork despatch (such as Quickcut / Adfast / FTP), and have a solid understanding of HTML and unsophisticated coding; knowledge of Adobe Animate, Google Web Designer, AdWords / Double Click, Flash, and ActionScript would be advantageous. A degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design / Visual Communications or similar would be beneficial but is not essential, as experience is key.
