This market leading global organisation is seeking a Service Desk Technician / 1st line Support (any 2nd line exposure would prove beneficial) to join them as they continue to grow. The role provides the opportunity to build and expand your hands on experience and skills within infrastructure.

Role: Service Desk Technician / 1st line Support / 2nd line support

Salary: £26,165 (DOE) plus excellent package (5 weeks holiday + bank holiday, pension, death in service)

Location: Tamworth, West Midlands - commutable from Sutton Coldfield, Nuneaton, Hinckley, Lichfield, Burton-upon-Trent, Ashby-de-la-Zouch, Birmingham, Coventry, Solihull, Walsall, Derby, Cannock, Stafford, Leicester, Loughborough

The successful Service Desk Technician / 1st line Support / 2nd line support role include:

* 1st line troubleshooting/support for the server and network infrastructure
* Manage/prioritise/assign tickets and escalations appropriately to the 2nd and 3rd line teams
* Support the server and network teams in daily duties
*Provide routine IT administration tasks including setting up workspace stations and remote installation/removal of software
* Create and review user manuals and knowledgebase documents
* Perform system maintenance/support which will occasionally fall outside of normal business hours
*Regular investigation of new technology and report accordingly

The successful Service Desk Technician / 1st line Support / 2nd line support will have the following:

*Experience of Windows server support
*Experience of network support, such as TCP/IP, switches, routers, patching connections etc.
*Experience operating backup software and performing file restores
*Experience of supplier management (organising works with external parties)
*Creation and maintenance of supporting processes and documentation
*Experience within a support role
