Urology at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital are looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our dynamic team. Our service is dedicated to working collaboratively to deliver high quality, highly specialised care, to a large and varied patient group from across our Board area. You should be a registered nurse, educated to degree level, with substantial post registration experience and skilled in delivering Nurse Led Cystoscopy, both diagnostic and follow-up. Hours will be worked Monday - Friday over 10 sessions. You should have additional specialist knowledge with a particular interest in associated urology cancer pathways. You should be able to make complex clinical decisions using specialist clinical judgement. Your primary purpose will be to participate in and progress the pathway of care for patients undergoing investigation, diagnosis, treatment and follow up. You will also be responsible for collaboratively continuing to develop our nurse led services. You will work within the nursing and multi-professional team to ensure a high standard of care to a defined patient group and will be responsible for prioritising and scheduling own workload to ensure timely delivery of the service. You will competently perform the necessary technical/invasive/physical aspects of care for this defined patient group. This post requires membership of Disclosure Scotland's PVG Scheme.
