For this position you will participate in a 1 in 3 rota covering 24/7, approximately 40 hours a week (3 to 4 shifts on, then 4 shifts off). The successful IT Engineer will provide support to staff with computer problems. The role is part of the technical helpdesk team which provides IT support to the staff. We are looking for an organised, enthusiastic person to join our team who has excellent customer service skills as you will be customer facing. A good, calm, reassuring manner is essential with a strong attention to detail as well as a good all round experience of IT. You will be taking a variety of support calls, aiming to fix all technical issues remotely or in person. The successful applicant will have a good knowledge of MS Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, PC / Printer Hardware and Microsoft Office, as well as bespoke applications (Electronic Prescribing Database), which will include liaising with third party suppliers. You should have previous Service Desk experience, and be able to demonstrate a range of technical IT skills. Experience of using a computerised Helpdesk/Service Desk system, Remote Control Support Tools, Wireless technologies and knowledge of ITIL processes are essential as well as being a car driver. You need to be a team player as well as be able to work on your own and we would welcome applications from candidates with a variety of experience levels. This role is to start ASAP and will pay £9.30-£11.15+HP (PAYE) or £11.30-£13.70 per hour (umbrella) dependant on experience.
