IT Project Manager London Overview We are a global IT organisation made up of around 650 colleagues world-wide. A large number of our teams are based in the UK - in our London City head office and further offices in Manchester, Birmingham and Bristol. Other teams are based in key regional hubs in the world's high growth economies, such as Dubai, Hong Kong, Singapore, Sidney and Toronto to better meet the needs of local and multi-national clients and trading partners. We procure, develop, run and manage best-in-class IT solutions and services to support JLT's business activities. We place our customers at the heart of all technology we buy or build. We partner with colleagues in the businesses to provide them with the solutions to deliver JLT's industry leading services to our blue-chip clients. The Group IT team works with the business to define technology requirements, spot innovative opportunities and develop JLT's IT capabilities in all regions; setting standards, managing strategic partnerships, and delivering IT solutions and services. We work hard to provide the most cost effective IT services which support JLT's business ambitions. Job summary Working directly for our Portfolio Delivery Manager, you will scope the viability of potential IT projects for our Specialty business. The Roadmap for the business includes some exciting long-term large scale and smaller projects in relation to our bespoke applications and infrastructure requirements. Main responsibilities * Management of allocated resources in order to deliver IT projects to agreed scope, timescale and budgets * Build and maintain excellent relationships with key project and business stakeholders * Making sure that disciplined processes and procedures are consistently applied to all projects ensuring successful delivery and the mitigation of potential risks * Monitor the progress of projects making sure that issues are monitored, reported and escalated as required through the appropriate governance structures Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate * Significant experience in formal change & project management within an IT environment * Good and practical knowledge of full project life cycle and associated professional standards * Significant experience in and understanding of the challenges of Shared Services - preferably within a financial services context * Matrix Management of Onshore and Offshore resources * Proficient in use of MS Office, Project Management and related tools * Commercially awareness * Good understanding of IT products and services * Experience of the full end to end process regarding Global Systems * Good understanding of the London Market Broking process Benefits Whilst this varies from company to company within Jardine Lloyd Thompson, typical benefits can include: * Bonus * Employee share schemes * Flexible Benefit Scheme (called Choices) * Generous holiday entitlement * Pension Plan * Private healthcare scheme * Assistance with studying for Professional Qualifications * Sports and Leisure Clubs JLT is proud to embrace diversity and inclusion and is committed to being an equal opportunities employer.
