Working within our IT Department, reporting to the IT Manager, the IT Support Technician will be expected to provide a high-quality support service for all user-related IT services. To participate in the delivery of IT-related change projects as directed. Suitable candidates are required to have the following IT skills and competencies: Essential Technical Skills: Prior experience with Windows Server 2008, 2012 including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP Prior experience with Network technologies including TCP/IP, Managed Switches, WAP, VLAN Prior experience with Windows Client Windows 7 and 10 Intermediate Microsoft Word including Styles, Tables, Templates, Mail Merge Advanced Excel including VBA / Macros, Pivot, Tables, Data Queries Desirable Technical Skills: Backup Systems Microsoft Office 365 Microsoft SharePoint Microsoft SQL / Database fundamentals ERP / CRM Systems (SAGE 1000) Competencies: Ability to learn and understand new technologies Open minded to new ways of working Good problem-solving skills Ablility to work to tight deadlines, prioritise workload Customer service skills and ability to communicate with users at different levels Ability to explain technical jargon to non-technical people. IT Support candidates will also need GCSE English and Maths (C or above) and 2 years' work experience within an office environment
