Our client is a specialist manufacturing facility in Glasgow who are recruiting an exciting role suitable for an experienced Multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer- Team leader (electrical bias)

Reporting to the Production Manager, your key responsibilities will include:

-Maintaining the factory machinery ensuring that any machine faults are rectified quickly and efficiently to ensure that production down time is kept to an absolute minimum.
-PPM in accordance with schedules.
-Conducting safety checks on all equipment operated throughout the production process.
-Liaising with machine tool suppliers / representatives for the purchase of machine tool spares and be cost conscious, achieving savings where possible.
-Training operators and fabricators in performing first line and planned maintenance activities as and when required.
-Supervising and leading the maintenance team.
-Training and development of junior members of the team.
-Liaising with machine tool suppliers / representatives for the purchase of machine tool spares and be cost conscious, achieving savings where possible.
-Project work, machine rebuilds and refurbishments may also be required.

The ideal candidate will be:

-An electrician engineer, preferably with mechanical skills - unfortunately a mechanical only engineer will not be suitable for their type of machinery.
-Currently in a hands-on maintenance role, within a manufacturing environment, with the ability to lead a small team as part of the role.
-Experienced with commissioning / decommissioning and installation of plant / machinery would be desirable.

The maintenance department core hours are 7.30 - 16:00 Mon-Thurs; 7:30 - 14:30 Friday - overtime, split shifts and week on/week off call out are in place to accommodate machine and plant breakdowns.
