My client is one of the most innovative providers of young people’s residential and Education care in the UK. We care for vulnerable young people with complex needs, who can be behaviourally challenging.

We require a Head of School to lead and deliver a wide range of high quality learning in a Key Stage 3 and 4 Annex of an independent school for pupils with Behavioral Emotional and Social difficulties through the delivery of a rich and diverse curriculum education that inspires. This will be achieved through providing inspirational and purposeful leadership to ensure Bloomfield School Annex Dudley Port provides outstanding outcomes.

Successful applicants are required to undergo an enhanced DBS disclosure and provide satisfactory references. Disclosure expense will be met by employer. 1. Strategic direction and development of the Annexe

1.1 To operate and manage the day to day running of the Annexe

1.2 Provide inspiring and purposeful leadership for the staff and pupils.

1.3 To support in the development and implementation a School Development Plan which will secure continuous school improvement.

1.4 To monitor and evaluate the performance of the Annexe and respond and report to the Executive Head Teacher Governing Body as required.

1.5 To ensure that management, finances, organisation and administration of the school supports its vision and aims.

1.6 To ensure that the school ethos, philosophy, policies and practices are maintained by example, to the highest standards, with regular reflection to national, local and school requirements.

1.7 To monitor, evaluate and review the impact of policies, priorities and targets of the school in practice, and take action if necessary.

1.8 To ensure that all those involved in the school are committed to its aims, motivated to achieve them, and involved in meeting long, medium and short term objectives and targets which secure the educational success of the school.

1.9 To communicate, support and report on a day to day basis to the Executive Head teacher.

Outstanding Leader

An expert practitioner who gets good results from learners with SEN and challenging behaviour

Have a proven backgrounds in behaviour management and SEN

Have up to date knowledge and understanding of developments in the National Curriculum at Key stages 2, 3 and 4

Have knowledge and experience of planning learning for pupils following an alternative curriculum

QTS/PGCE or equivalent
