REF:PC-4044 Quality Engineer Oxfordshire £30,000 - £35,000 Pension + 25 Days Holiday The Company A highly bespoke up and coming design and manufacturing establishment, deriving from extremely prestigious educational academies in the South West of the country. Recent backings of over £500 Million in order to project this company in a market leading position. Possessing a ground breaking product range engineered to be smaller, lighter and more cost efficient than competing organisations. The Role Situated within the Operations and the Design team, the Compliance Engineer will encompass and oversee QA and NPI. In order to ensure conformity to all regulatory and legal requirements regarding the supply of products into regulated markets within Water, Oil and Gas. The successful engineer will interface regularly with Business Development teams and hands on Production Teams. Taking detailed regulatory CTR’s from returning current and new customers. Especially preparing procedural documentation and creating specifications for product testing (both in our workshop in Oxford and contracted at European testing facilities). All activities fit within our ISO9001 quality system so a key requirement of the role is to lead on Quality Assurance and ensure adherence to these processes. The role will support project management with report preparation of our product development projects. Responsibilities ·Developing / maintaining a product’s PED Technical File, advising on future PED requirements ·Leading QA activity for Oxford Flow, ensuring ISO9001 compliance and future (internal / external) audit success ·Leading industry certification and compliance for a range of manufactured equipment – valves, filters, silencers and flow meters ·Planning and internally reporting compliance activity ·Directing the product pressure testing and final verifications requirements in collaboration with the Design and Production teams ·Obtaining product compliance (primarily for water and natural gas) in the UK, Europe, Middle East and USA (training provided) ·Supporting the Design function to understand compliance requirements and quality assurance ·Supporting the Operations function on technical studies, technology / product development mapping, component and product verification ·Developing / maintaining a product’s PED Technical File, advising on future PED requirements ·Supporting the Design function to understand compliance requirements and quality assurance ·Supporting the Operations function on technical studies, technology / product development mapping, component and product verification The Candidate This position will suit a recently or past qualified engineer with some industry experience possessing an eye for detail, excellent report writing skills and with interest in establishing and maintaining engineering procedures. Skills qualifications required ·Engineering-based higher certificate (Level 4-5) or technical degree or equivalent ·Proven report writing skills ·Ability to support project management for industry-led product development projects ·Interest in fluid flow equipment and industrial processes in our key sectors of water, gas distribution, oil & gas and process ·Enthusiasm for engineering industry standards and regulation compliance ·Ideally, some knowledge of fluid flow and pressure systems -knowledge of ISO9001 quality systems (not just auditing), and with the necessary skill to draft and communicate important procedures ·Genuine interest in enhancing the skills necessary for preparing technical documentation
