Engineering Stores Assistant An interesting position for a Stores Person working under the heading of Maintenance Parts - Technical Assistant with an Engineering / Technical knowledge background has become available working with an important automotive manufacturing company who are global leaders in their field based in Swindon, Wiltshire. Working on an 18 Month Fixed Term Contract you will be reporting into the Stores Coordinator, working as part of a Project Team of 6, alongside the established MRO (Maintenance Repair and Operations) Core Stores Team within the maintenance function. The departmental stores are currently located across this vast site; you will be actively involved in the identification and relocation of these critical spares into a central stores area. These positions will be working either permanent earlies, lates or nights. There is also the possibility of a two or three shift rotation. This role will offer you the opportunity to work at a world class manufacturing facility where you will be contributing towards assisting in developing a centralised inventory management system to ensure production stability and reduce costs. Main responsibilities: * Identifying parts details and inputting into a stores system * Relocating parts from around the site into the central stores * Maintaining and updating the central stores system * Cataloguing and reorganising the central stores * Quarantine all unidentifiable parts * Cleaning and maintaining parts in stores To be considered for the position of Maintenance Parts - Technical Assistant you must have/be: * Experienced in identifying manufacturing equipment spare parts * Excellent attention to detail and data inputting skills * Experience of using a parts management system would be highly desirable * Manufacturing maintenance experience would be highly advantageous * An FLT licence is desirable but not essential * Parts storage management experience would be highly advantageous What we want from you: To be successful in this role you will be highly self-motivated individual with strong computer skills.
