Job Description The Advanced Targeting product group is expanding into new and exciting areas and a Senior / Principal Hardware Engineer is required to bolster the engineering team. Key Responsibility Areas In this role, you will help develop products from the support of existing designs through early life production support to brand new product development. Responsibilities primarily focus on supporting design verification, product qualification and production support activities. You will be responsible for instigating Route Cause and Corrective Action investigations and defining & implementing design change resulting from these investigations. Product development will cover the full life cycle from requirement capture through prototyping, schematic capture & simulation, supporting PCB Layout & manufacture to build, test and qualification. You will be working as part of an integrated product team where a strong working relationship with other non-engineering functions is essential. You will also be responsible for devising, implementing and documenting design verification tests as new designs transition into production. This will be a demanding and fast moving role with a high degree of customer focus. Skills, Qualifications & Knowledge Required Strong analogue & mixed-signal circuit design experience. Experience of designing for cost, test and manufacturability Experience in Module and System level integration and Debug. A proven background in working with external suppliers and customers. Significant expertise with PCB development tools and process (Mentor xDx Designer, LTSpice, SystemVision, Hyperlynx - preferred) Experience in Module and System level integration and debug. A willingness to work within a fast moving and dynamic environment. A degree of Firmware design and implementation experience would be an advantage. Be a good team player with a willingness to share ideas and communicate well within a team environment. Interest in developing team leadership and mentoring skills.
