Data Architect - 55/60k per annum & additional benefits - Manchester city centre Our client is an award winning provider of general insurance products in the UK, with around 1.4 million customers coming to us for services including motor, home and pet insurance. We're looking for a data architect to join our technology, innovation and change team. It is a fantastic opportunity for you to lead the analysis and production of data architecture and designs to support the delivery of change. The client prioritises data and it's a key part and focus of the business moving forward. As the data architect your time will be split across strategic direction setting and, data design and governance. The strategic element encompassing the generation of data policies, principles, ways of working and governance, whilst the other part of your role will be about translating that strategic thinking into supporting business initiatives that need data architecture design. You'll be looking at our data landscape as a business in an abstract way, working as part of the wider architecture community within the client. What you'll do: - assure that architecture solutions are fit for purpose for the business to include; data modelling, information and content life cycle, architecture design approvals, delivery of policy and standards, and risk management - to advise, contribute and identify the operating and service model impacts and capabilities arising from technology introduction - input to the architecture and design community across the business enabling and enforcing consistency in ways of working, knowledge share and architecture skills development - to research and advise on key IT technology capabilities and trends and suppliers To be successful as a data architect you'll need a detailed understanding of data and how to use it with the capability to step out and set strategy. So you could be in one of a number of different scenarios right now and any one would be ideal. You're an experienced data architect, you're a solution architect with a passion for data, or you're a data analyst with proven capability to progress your career into architecture. We'd love to talk to you if: - you've an understanding of architectural methodologies - you're a confident communicator with excellent relationship building skills - you've the ability to take data architecture and link it back to business outcome - you're ideally qualified in architecture frameworks and methodologies (e.g TOGAF or Zachman) although this isn't essential - you've some experience in a regulated industry, although this is also not essential but would be beneficial Rullion is acting as an Employment Agency in relation to this vacancy
