Our client is a well-established organisation which has more than doubled in turnover in the past 5 years. They operate in the retail, leisure and commercial sectors with blue chip and SME business. As a family ran company, their positive and friendly approach is reflected in their projects and work ethic. They are now seeking to appoint a sole–charge Finance Manager to join their team of around 30 employees. Responsibilities - All day to day financial activities to trial balance. - Producing monthly management accounts for the senior management team including P&L. - Collection and data capture of project hours by direct employees on all current and ongoing projects and producing outputs for management to act upon. - Month end journal preparation. - Weekly Cash flow forecasting - Balance sheet reconciliations. - Ensuring that all invoices, expenses & journals are input correctly onto Xero accounts system. - Controlling staff expenses, checking receipts, exchange rates, coding & analysing VAT. - Reconciling suppliers` statements and dealing with supplier enquiries and disputes. You will be a vibrant, self-motivated individual with an energetic approach, and a proven self-starter who has prior experience working within a similar environment. You should demonstrate a stable and progressive career path to date and be seeking to contribute to the continued growth of this business. A professional accounting qualification would be an advantage although this is not essential. Prior experience of Xero accounting package is desirable as are strong Excel skills.
