An international law firm based in Birmingham is looking to recruit a legal clerk to support their world renowned residential development team. Our client is looking for an ambitious individual of graduate calibre to carry out administrative tasks and duties for one of their major clients. This is a fantastic opportunity for a recent graduate who is looking to kick-start their career within a globally successful law firm.
Your daily duties will include:
Requesting documents/deeds on behalf of fee earners and the client, managing instructions from the client, and releasing deeds to third parties
Maintaining the client database, ensuring it is up to date at all times
Ensuring purchase orders and billing entities are correct, raising monthly invoices, and liaising with the finance department
Maintaining strong relationships with clients, agents and third parties via email, phone and in person
Updating client reports
Carrying out general administrative tasks
The ideal candidate will have excellent typing and data entry skills and exceptional interpersonal skills. You will be able to work to tight deadlines, remain calm under pressure and will be able to work harmoniously as part of a team. Previous experience working in a legal environment would be advantageous but is not essential as training will be provided.
