We are looking for an IT Helpdesk Support, to join our IT team based in Hams Hall, Birmingham. This is a purpose-built Support Centre with an open plan office environment. You will join us on a full time, permanent basis and will receive a competitive salary of £16,000 - £18,000 per annum. There has never been a better time to join The Works! As our IT Helpdesk Support you will be working in a fast moving environment which requires an individual with strong customer service skills and proven technical ability in 1st line IT support. Within the role you will provide first line technical support by answering telephone and email enquiries, while monitoring the support ticketing system. Duties and key responsibilities of our IT Helpdesk Support include: - Call logging on the IT service desk - Maintain details of detected software/hardware problems - Provide 1st/2nd line technical support - Answering support queries either directly or via phone, email or Helpdesk system - Escalate with internal and external support where necessary - Assist users with computer equipment by providing necessary advice and support - Maintain and update internal documentation and database systems in a timely manner - Monitor the support ticketing system ensuring timely feedback and set expectations with users - Travelling to other sites if required - Other ad-hoc duties as and when required by the Business - Out of hours and weekend support on a rota basis To become our IT Helpdesk Support you must have the following skills, experience and attributes: Ideally, you will have Helpdesk experience up to 2nd Line with the ability to use and troubleshoot Microsoft Office based applications both with local and remote users. You will have a working knowledge of PC hardware, TCPIP, networking principles and Microsoft technologies e.g. Active Directory. ?ITIL experience would be an advantage. In addition, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to provide a great customer service experience. You will be adaptable to change and have the abilities to problem solve by asking precise questions to ascertain the issue.
