Our client are specialists in sub contract fabrication, machining and the manufacture of bespoke turnkey solutions across a broad range of sectors and due to recent success, now require a Validation Leader. You will be responsible for coordinating the support for validation projects and processes, this permanent full-time position is to ensure that all manufacturing processes, equipment, computer and analytical methods are fully validated to meet operational requirements The Role Responsible for leading the Validation department Responsible to develop and deliver validation programmes versus project timing and technical specification Support production and R&D operations in the identification of process validation/improvements for new product development Coordinate with the relevant departments in the execution of validation projects and ensure full compliance with all customer and international standards When appropriate identify risks and/or product improvements during project design reviews Draft and publish application SOPs and final validation reports Ensure all projects are delivered on time and under budget, with the required quality Mentor and develop members of staff, including identifying any training needs Maintain standard reporting documents as per company standards Discusses the requirements of the validation testing with the Project Managers and Design Engineers, giving inputs as appropriate Attend customer meetings (as required) to present results, conclusions and next steps Development testing beyond requirements stated in the technical specifications, identifying product limits and giving input to product designs improvements Organisation and development of the validation area, including housekeeping, storage and calibration of equipment and catalogueing of test pieces, planning, acquisition and maintenance of test equipment for current and future projects All safety aspects of validation (liaising with site safety representative on a regular basis) Verification of tests results from Validation Engineer The Person At least 5 years’ experience within the automotive engineering/manufacturing industry with ideally at least 3 years’ experience in an automotive engineering validation role Ideally have a relevant HNC/HND (or equivalent) in an engineering or technical discipline Should have good hands on experience of mechanical processes and equipment Must have experience of process validation Must have a working knowledge of GMP and the regulatory requirements for validation within the automotive industry Must have strong instrumentation knowledge, including use of data loggers, pressure, temperature and other instrumentation Will ideally have prior experience of electronics, actuation and sensors, in particular diagnostics Must be computer literate with a very good knowledge in the use of MS-Office and SRM Must have very good communication skills (oral and written) Knowledge of health and safety and hazardous materials regulations Demonstrate an understanding and have hands-on experience of generating and reviewing validation documents Capable of cultivate and maintain strong relationships with internal and external customers Show a demonstrate a track record of team development Have a working knowledge of, or hands-on experience with, automotive production processes Ability to discuss technical aspects of validation and engine testing with customers
