We have an exciting opportunity to join our Central Supplier Assurance team as a Group Supplier Assurance Technologist. The successful candidate will not only provide the administrative support to the central supplier assurance team, but will also work closely with the sites and suppliers to ensure all supplier assurance documentation are in place and well maintained.

Key Accountabilities:

Maintaining Supplier Assurance Database in general at central level
Communicating with suppliers to ensure all documentation for supplier approval & ongoing maintenance is on file and up-to-date
Maintaining supplier records to ensure supplier approval status is up to date on the central Supplier Assurance Database
Liaising with sites to ensure raw material specifications are on file and uploaded to the specification management system on Sharepoint.
Carrying out supplier risk assessment based on supplier approval documentation
Communicating with sites on issue-out and update of the supplier assurance master document
Collating and presenting supplier approval information to assist sites during customer visits and accreditation audits.
Carrying out raw material specification review at defined intervals
Liaising with all relevant internal stakeholders e.g. Procurement to ensure supplier approval and ongoing maintenance is achieved in an effective and timely manner

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Degree qualified in Food Science or related subject preferred but not essential.
Familiar with Global Food Safety Standard (BRC) and other GFSI standards.
Familiar with main food safety and quality management systems such as GMP, HACCP (Level 3 preferred) and etc.
Supplier assurance, ingredient risk & vulnerability assessment experience within a food manufacturing environment
Proficient user in Microsoft Office software, in particular Word and Excel.
Proficient user in SAP or similar ERP system.
Good written and verbal communication skills all levels
Ability to work under pressure (individually) to meet deadlines
Ability to work unsupervised and use own initiative
Organised, pragmatic and efficient with keen attention to detail
