Bioscience Contracts Specialist
An exciting Bioscience Contracts Specialist job with a renowned regulatory agency in Hertfordshire.
Your new company
This Hertfordshire-based institute, at the heart of a regulatory agency dealing with medicines and medical devices, is looking for a Bioscience Contracts Specialist to join their legal team in improving the health and medical safety of millions of people in the UK and worldwide. Given the health and economic importance of biologics in today's society, the role will support the organisation's scientific teams in making a global public health impact.
Your new role
You will play an important role across the institute, dealing with the drafting and negotiation of a variety of legal agreements, ranging from standardisation and biological medicines control, to research and advice relating to the organisation and its work. You will be responsible for liaising with stakeholders, investors, collaborators and customers. You will also maintain, archive and report on relevant records.
What you'll need to succeed
To be considered, you need to be a contracts manager, solicitor, barrister or CILEX officer with considerable prior experience of contracts, ideally within a bioscience environment. You must have technical knowledge relating to the field, which is likely to come from a relevant degree or laboratory experience, though formal scientific qualifications are not essential. You should be an excellent negotiator and communicator, both written and verbal, and have an objective-driven approach to managing your own work and that of the team.
What you'll get in return
You will contribute to the important work undertaken by the institute, helping to deliver and ensure the safety of breakthrough scientific research in relation to biological medicine. In return, you can expect a competitive salary and a good work life balance, including opportunities for part time working.
