Information Security Analyst - (Security Certifications required) – Canary Wharf, London- £50,000 + great benefits

Major client has an urgent opportunity for an Information Security Analyst having some of the following technical certifications (CESG CCP, CCP, CompTIA Security+, ISC2 Systems CISS, CISSP, ISACA, CCIM or Cisco Cyber Security Specialist) to work closely with the IT security team to develop and implement a comprehensive information security program that is aligned with my clients global policies, this includes defining regional security policies, processes and standards. You will work with the IT department to select and deploy technical controls to meet specific security requirements, defining processes and standards to ensure that security configurations are maintained.

As am Information Security Analyst you will be required to identify security requirements using methods that may include risk and business impact assessments, components of this activity include but are not limited to: Business system analysis that’s consists in the coordination and completion of information security operations documentation, work with information security leadership to develop strategies and plans to enforce security requirements, address identified security risks, raise information security awareness and develop training plans. You will monitor daily or weekly security reports and logs for unusual events preparing an action plan for such findings, work with the Infrastructure and information security team to identify, select and implement technical controls, research and evaluate new threats and advise on any necessary communication or extra controls to counter these. You will recommend information-security-related hardware and software, including developing business cases for security investments, define and implement Controls to define security configuration and operations standards for security systems and applications, including policy assessment and compliance tools, network security appliances, and host-based security systems.

You will have upto 6 years of combined IT and security work experience with a broad range of exposure to systems analysis, application development, database design and administration, 2 years of IT security experience, experience in developing, documenting and maintaining security policies, processes, procedures and standards, knowledge of network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and the associated network protocols and concepts, in-depth knowledge and understanding of information risk concepts and principles, as a means of relating business needs to security controls, knowledge of and experience in developing and documenting security architecture and plans, including strategic, tactical and project plans and experience with common information security management frameworks, such as [International Organization for Standardization (ISO) 2700x and the ITIL, COBIT and National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)] frameworks.

You will understand the fundamentals of project management, knowledge of risk assessment methods and technologies and have excellent technical knowledge of MS Windows o/s and a wide range of security technologies, such as network security appliances, identity and access management (IAM) systems, anti-malware solutions and desktop security tools.
