We are recruiting for a Marketing Assistant to work within one of the UK's leading Universities.

Working to the Marketing Officer as part of the Student Recruitment and Marketing division, the post holder will be actively involved in the planning, coordination and delivery of marketing and student recruitment activity for the new University campus. This will involve marketing support to prospective students and working with a range of internal stakeholders.

The post holder will work closely with the wider team to help deliver a marketing and communications strategy to deliver our student number targets. Working across the whole spectrum of the marketing mix including both digital and offline marketing communications, the post holder will work across multiple projects including the enquirer and applicant contact strategy, web content development, event support and advertising. They will be responsible for some administrative tasks around budget, reporting and tracking and monitoring of activities.

This post provides support across for a wide range of activities and a flexible combination of administrative and project-based support is required together with an organized, proactive and collaborative approach. This is an exciting role as part of a vibrant team, and a 'can do' attitude and the ability to adapt to an evolving environment will be key.

Main Duties

Support delivery of marketing plans for all Dubai programmes, including support for the delivery of the enquirer and applicant contact strategy through the customer relationship management (CRM) system

Help to deliver a conversion strategy at all levels, incorporating CRM, events (on and offline), telephone campaigns and other tactics

Create, update and maintain web pages, both from a content and user journey perspective

Be responsible for keeping accurate records of recruitment and marketing activity with prospective students, working in collaboration with a number of internal stakeholders

Provide logistical support in relation to related events including open days, applicant visit days, virtual events and other recruitment events

Work with Marketing Officer on the delivery of marketing collateral (writing and editing copy, commissioning and gathering images) including content for prospectuses, exhibition materials, and the website

Work closely with the project team, Colleges and others to ensure consistency of messaging and content across channels

Provide general day-to-day administrative support for the Dubai project in relation to marketing activity

Maintain accurate records of marketing spend including raising purchase order requisitions and invoice management as appropriate

To undertake a range of other duties as directed by the Marketing Officer

Person Specification
Educated to A-Level (or equivalent working experience). Must have GCSE level Grade 'C' (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics

Experience of working in a marketing or communications environment across a wide range of specialisms

Experience of using a Customer Relationship Management system

Experience of using content management systems (CMS)

A proven, high standard of written and oral communication and confidence of dealing with projects at all levels

Good copywriting skills

Experience of understanding and interpreting data including Google Analytics, and proficiency using Excel

Experience of providing support for complex internal and external events

Ability to work with initiative, under pressure and manage multiple workloads simultaneously

Experience of liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior managers

Well-developed administrative and organisational skills with a proven ability to pay attention to detail

Experience of working with social media in professional context

Excellent interpersonal skills and a 'can-do' attitude

Creative and innovative approach to problem solving

Computer literate, confident and competent in the use of database systems and electronic communication

A real team player who can also work independently

Flexibility to work out of hours as required
