Early Years Teaching Assistant Person Specification

For this post, you must be a patient graduate who has experience supporting SEN and a strong academic record. We want to meet graduates who can evidence a natural affinity for helping pupils with SEN and display an obvious passion for education . The ideal individual should be able to be a responsible influence on the pupils they teach. The successful candidate will have a welcoming understanding for others and the tools to make fast friends.

About the Early Years Teaching Assistant Role

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant at this school you will be working closely, on an individual basis, with a Reception girl who has been identified as on the Autism Spectrum. Part of your role will include creating lessons that match the school's creative and inclusive ethos. Your strengths and areas for development will be highlighted by the teachers you work with, who will the help you designing a CPD plan and various training activities to help you develop your teaching technique. You will be adopting and nurturing the creative ethos and atmosphere that the Head of Inclusion has created.
