You will be responsible for solving a broad spectrum of customer IT support cases by telephone, remotely, in the office or on-site as efficiently and professionally as possible. This involves managing assigned cases and assisting other team members when necessary. You will need strong communication skills to update our customers about the status of their outstanding cases on a regular basis. A duty engineer rota is in place for out of hours support. The candidate would ideally have 2-3 years’ experience from working within either an internal or outsourced IT department. Requirements: Good communication skills and good team player An interest in IT and technology in general An ability to learn new skills as required A full clean driving licence and willingness to travel Flexibility with an enthusiastic approach to your work A "can do" attitude is essential! Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems and Applications Qualifications & grades: CompTIA A+ GCSE Information Technology grade C or above GCSE English grade C or above GCSE Maths grade C or above Other useful skills but not required: CompTIA N+ Computer or IT based degree Understanding of IP based networks Knowledge of firewalls and IPSEC tunnels Salary & Benefits: Salary range £16,000 - £22,000 4 weeks holiday in years 1-3, increasing to 5 weeks holiday after 3 years of service Company contributory pension, company health care, and company death in service cover after 1 year of service
