Location: MBarnwell Services HQ - Birmingham (Smethwick) Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 PA + Bonus

MBarnwell Services, the UK’s leading manufacturer, stockist and distributor of fluid sealing products, is seeking a Purchasing Administrator to join its busy team.

Reporting to the Purchasing Manager you will enjoy a varied and busy position and have the organisation and decision making skills necessary to prioritise a demanding workload.

Your day to day will consist of, but will not be limited to:

  • Ensuring timely procurement of all consumable items requested by email or purchasing book
  • Process purchase orders and/or call off orders relating to the information
  • Ensure all deliveries are input into the correct unit calendar and all relevant information is liaised between departments on individual supply situations
  • Follow up on orders to ensure that Inventory items are shipped and delivered on promised dates
  • Ensure system information up to date at all times including Supplier information, lead times, pricing and minimum stock values Update pricing from suppliers once agreed by Purchasing Manager
  • Resolve any queries in a timely and efficient manner
  • Update documentation as per order profiling requirements
  • Deliver reporting documents to support supplier meetings
  • Have general knowledge of all purchasing process including stock, non-stock and services
  • Other duties as assigned by Purchasing manager or any Management personnel

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Highly numerate / literate
  • Experienced in all areas of administration
  • Intermediate Excel user level
  • Knowledge of MS Office, Windows and general comfort with technology - SAGE experience would be an advantage
  • Have the ability to multitask and prioritise workloads Have excellent team working skills
  • Confident communicator - in person and telephone

Preferred skills and experience:

  • One years’ Experience in a similar role
  • Experience of the fluid sealing industry
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Persuading, influencing and negotiating skills

  • Salary: £18,000 - £22,000 PA + Bonus Holiday: 20 days + bank holidays
  • Hours: 9am to 5.30pm (37.5 hours per week)
