Electronics Design Engineer Warwick, Warwickshire £24,000 to £28,000 Specialists in the design and manufacture of mechanical, electronic & electromechanical sensors and Gauges, specifically designed for generator sets, off-road & commercial vehicles servicing a global customer base with over 50% of the company’s sales being exported around the world. Internal company departments range from the following: Purchasing, Design, Production, Prototyping, Internal & External Testing, Assembly and sell worldwide. Due to continued success and growth of the business, a new has been created within the Design department for an Electronics Design Engineer. Job Profile A new role has been created for an experienced electronics design engineer who would benefit from greater project responsibility in working for an innovative sensor company. The role would suit a degree qualified electronics engineer who wants to further develop their range of skills and experience in a varied and interesting engineering and development environment. Duties: • Provide all electronic circuit hardware design to include analogue, power supply, with understanding of microprocessors (specifically Microchip PICs) • Prepare technical documentation to include specification and sourcing of electrical and electronic components • Conduct all supplier technical liaison • Where appropriate, prepare computer generated circuit simulation • Provide project plans that also detail component and development costs • Research and implement new techniques and design improvements • Establish requirements from customer/sales/marketing Skills & Experience: • It would also be desirable to have an understanding of both PIC and GUI software code that determines functionality, including required resolution of inputs/outputs, any timing constraints, description of any mathematical algorithms, and application specific variations if required • Degree qualified in Electronic Engineering at 2.1 Honours or higher • Minimum of 5 years proven design experience in the electronics design industry • Ability to compose comprehensive technical design documentation • Good communicator • Accomplished in circuit design • Familiar with New Product Introduction systems (NPI) Hours: • Monday to Friday - 8.30am to 5pm • (1/2hr flexi-time beginning or end of every day) Key Skills Engineer, Engineering, Design, Designing, Electronics, Electronic Circuit Hardware, New Product Introduction, Microprocessor, Microchip, PIC, GUI, Electrical Component
