Customer: Transport Network
Salary: Between £23,000-£26,000 per annum + DHL Benefits
Contract Type: Permanent (Full Time)

For the role of Assistant Finance Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that you provide financial control for multiple contracts based at Lutterworth. With customer reporting on the open book contracts there needs to be strong and detailed controlled of costs, along with excellent communication is required. The role interacts with customers and key stakeholders at the site on a regular basis and therefore requires strong financial and budgetary presentation knowledge / presentation skills.

Key Responsibilities in this role will include;

* Production of weekly and monthly management accounts to strict deadlines for both Transport and Warehousing contracts, to include period end analysis reports
* Manage the site accounts on a day to day basis ensuring that we have adequate cover and skills to complete the necessary tasks to the deadlines set
* Assisting in preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts in conjunction with the site General Managers, Operations Director and other departments.
* Production of Weekly and Monthly Accounts for Open Book customers
* Liaise with Open Book customers regarding monthly accounts and variance to Budget
* Manage OCM relationship and requirements (including OCRs, Open book Reconciliations)
* To assist in ad hoc financial and non-financial matters as and when required
* Preparation of reports that analyse and interpret financial data.
* Administration and control of overheads
* Liaise with Accenture on a range of accounting issues
* Profitability analysis to assist business decisions.
* Identify and introduce efficiencies and cost savings in conjunction with the operations teams
* Maintaining Fixed Asset Register. Monitoring and reporting capital expenditure
* Regional Support Staff Cost management
* Monitoring of Debts
* To assist in ad hoc financial and non-financial matters as and when required

Key skills and experience in this role will include:

Essential
* Excellent written and oral communication, negotiating and influencing skills
* High level of detailed accuracy
* Strong communication and organisation skills, together with the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a demanding environment
* Self-motivated and dedicated hands-on professional, possessing excellent IT skills
* Conversant with business and office systems and familiarity with the Company's integrated package Oracle
* Ability to work under pressure and meet required deadlines
* The ability to liaise with and understand customer requirements
* In depth knowledge of financial accounting reporting and analysis
* Experience of Management Accounts

Desirable
* Experience of working successfully within a large PLC financial community (Desirable)
* Knowledge of the Logistics Industry (Desirable)
* Experience of operating open book contracts (Desirable)
