Part-time Information Officer - Law Firm - City of London
We are working with a successful, global law firm who are looking to recruit an Information Officer to join its established library and information services team, on a permanent, part-time basis.
This research job offers a unique opportunity to be involved in a varied and interesting role working for a full service international law firm, where the core function of your job will be the provision of legal information and handling a range of research enquiries.
Whilst the job is based in London, the information team provides research support services for all international offices and so you will be guaranteed to work across a broad-range of enquiries and have every opportunity to work on behalf of a large group of fee earners.
As part of the library team, this job will be embedded in a particular practice area which will require you to build close relationships with the practice and thus develop your knowledge of your designated practice group.
As the successful candidate for this job opportunity you will possess:
- A Library & Information qualification ideally
- An extensive research experience of at least one year within a law firm
- A good working knowledge of the key legal databases with the ability to select the appropriate resource - including Lexis Library, Westlaw, Nexis, Practical Law and Perfect Information
- Experience of working under pressure with the ability to plan and prioritise work and deliver to tight deadlines
