Rochester, Kent

Job Start: April 2018

Empowering learning are in the process of supporting a popular, highly thought of school which is situated on the outskirts of Rochester. The school are looking to appoint a determined and enthusiastic teacher to teach their small Year 3 class starting in September, or ideally, in April if this allows. The school is a small one-form school that is newly built and is surrounded by a rural setting. The school are currently in the process of expanding so that the already existing secondary school has a primary attached. The school currently consists of a Nursery class, a Reception, a Year 1 and a Year 2 class and will, as of next September, have a Year 3 class. Ideally, the school are interested in an April start in which the candidate will spend the final term undertaking interventions with the current Year 2 class. This will allow for the new class teacher to get to know the children and understanding the abilities and cohort of children within the class. The successful candidate will then follow this Year 2 class up to Year 3 in which he or she will become their new Year 3 class teacher. Staff within the school are extremely welcoming and the school is able to offer a friendly, supportive and organised working environment. It is expected that applications reflect a positive, enthusiastic and energetic attitude and that lessons taught are both exciting and enriching. Being a motivator and having the ability to encourage deeper participation is essential along with having an in-depth knowledge of the New National Curriculum.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone entering teaching for the first time or for someone wanting to further their career in a new environment. The school are happy to consider applications from newly qualified teachers (NQTS), or experienced teachers. Applicants will be considered based on their ability to deliver Good to Outstanding lessons and on their passion and drive for teaching.

If interested, please call Charlotte Edmonds on / OR email for more information.

The school has a strong ethos of student welfare therefore any successful applicant will undergo a full enhanced criminal record check (DBS).
