NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde have a vacancy for a Project Manager to join the Capital Planning and Procurement department based at Gartnavel Royal Hospital, Glasgow.

Responsible to the General Manager you will manage, develop and deliver a considerable number of concurrent, delegated capital construction projects and decommissioning projects, with autonomy for decision making. You will ensure these projects are delivered on time, within budget and with the appropriate project management structures in place. Each project will vary in value up to a maximum of £25m.

As a critical key player of the property and capital planning team, you will be an active and participating member of a project team delivering projects within the Capital Plan in excess of £100m per annum.

You will also have responsibility for providing advice on strategic options to develop the NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde’s estate and capital assets, as well as deputise for senior management if required.

You will ideally be qualified to degree level, with a professional or managerial qualification in a construction related subject. It will also be beneficial if you were accredited, qualified or a member of a professional organisation, relevant to the post (e.g. RIBA, RICS, MCIOB, MCIPS, CIAT, CIBSE etc).

It will prove beneficial if you had demonstrable experience in construction projects or strategic estate planning.
