Project Assurance Manager - £52k + benefits

London

Fixed Term Contract for 12 Months

One of Talent Internationals leading clients are urgently recruiting for an experienced Assurance Project Manger to join the exisitng team.

To be considered for this role you will need to have skills and experience in the following:

  • Prince 2 or Change Management qualification
  • Strong knowledge of MS Project management software
  • Strong working knowledge of working on Assurance Projects
  • Managing multiple projects at any one time
  • Updating RAID logs
  • Working with third party suppliers
  • Working effectively with all team members to ensure projects are delivered on time.
  • Ensure appropriate goverance structures are in place
  • Planning and managing the delivery of the project
  • Managing risk and issues related to the project

Essential experience

  • 4/5 Years practical experience of successfully managing a variety of projects, including business change and IT projects, covering the entire project lifecycle. This experience should include some of the following:
  • projects associated with achieving a strategic long term plan
  • shorter tactical projects
  • projects defining and delivering policy changes/adjustments, new products, procedural changes or infrastructure changes
  • smaller operational changes
  • projects with a variety of budgets
  • 1/2 Years practical experience of working in a project assurance environment, providing assurance on project delivery to key stakeholders
  • Practical experience of delivering projects in the financial services sector
  • Experience of engaging and working with third party suppliers
  • Essential technical knowledge and skills
  • A practical knowledge of PRINCE2 from both a project manager and user viewpoint
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft project management software and familiarity with other project management software
  • A sound knowledge of project management practices and techniques, covering the entire project lifecycle
  • A thorough understanding of project assurance, and the techniques and methods that can be used to provide it
  • Ability to manage a large portfolio of both related and unrelated projects concurrently  Ability to effectively manage a team of experienced professionals providing guidance and advice where necessary
  • Ability to think strategically and to understand how projects and programmes help deliver the strategic plans of a business
