Acorn Executive Search has been retained by our prestigious client to identify a suitable individual for a key role offering significant prospects for career progression. The Role: The initial primary objective is the timely preparation, reporting and management of financial information / results across a number of business units. Responsibilities include: * Month end closing within the strict time schedule * Monthly P&L Forecasts to tight deadlines * Reviewing results and forecasts to ensure accuracy * Monthly Finance meetings with Senior Management Team * Foreign Exchange booking and management * Cash Flow Forecasting * Budget preparation and management. * Liaising with the shared service accounts team for AR and AP. * Approving all Expenses, Requisitions, Assets, Disposals (scrap/stock error), New Supplier set up forms, New Customer set up forms * Mid Term and Business Plan preparation (PL, BS, Expenses, Fixed Assets, Cash Flow), creation and analysis. This includes liaising with all departments in the business to obtain sales, headcount & budgets * Training team members as required to enable them to carry out their role effectively and develop succession. * Partnering with other Managers to help them achieve budgets and forecasts * Approve Sales Price List * Approval of new product pricing, warranty pricing and any other ad hoc requests * Manage Warranty Reserve (includes standard warranty and accidental damage reserves) * Manage and Co-ordinate year end closing * Manage Price Support for special Projects * Management of team members including annual appraisals, holidays, development etc.; * Annual SOX reporting * Compliance at all levels. You need to be able to advise and support staff members to ensure their actions are compliant and advise the correct process where applicable The Candidate: You will therefore be a suitably qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA - 'qualified by experience' candidates may also be considered). What is essential is that you have a commercial outlook and a hunger to get involved within the Senior Management team, thinking pro-actively and 'adding value'. You will also possess demonstrable leadership skills and the ability to influence. You will have at least 3 years' experience operating at a similar level, ideally in a manufacturing or fast paced, process driven business.
