About the Role:

As a Behaviour Mentor at this school you will be both supporting teaching and learning across the school as well as assisting EBD or SEN pupils throughout school life. Day-to-day, you will have the support of a highly respected SENCO that you can use to help your development. You will have the responsibility of leading booster and intervention groups, mentoring pupils 1:1 and working in classes across the school. Your Behaviour Mentor duties will include working in modern indoor and outdoor learning spaces and other impressive departmental facilities. The role will involve supporting some pupils on a 1:1 basis as well as others within small groups. The pupils you will be working with may display extremely challenging behaviour.

About the Applicant:

The ideal applicant will need an extensive knowledge of emotional, social and behavioural difficulties, learnt through studying a degree in Psychology. While it is preferable to have experience working with challenging young people, if you are relishing the opportunity of gaining invaluable experience in this field then the role is suited to you. The ideal candidate will be both enthusiastic and passionate about the role and have the ability to positively engage students, form friendly relationships, and in turn inspire development and progression in SEN students.
