Are you a Production Manager who's seeking a new challenging role? Do you have a background in electronic production? Do you have experience of Lean manufacturing? If you can answer yes to these questions this role could be for you! Our client is a leading manufacturer of electronic equipment to the consumer market. They have a requirement for a Production Manager to join their team in Salisbury. The role; The position is responsible for the smooth daily operation of the production departments and for achieving production targets. The role will focus on both achieving daily targets and driving continuous improvement of the overall operation. The role involves people management of the production supervisor and all other staff working in the production departments. Liaison with other departments such as R&D, customer services and supply chain is very important. * Responsible for the operation of the production departments, ensuring that all work is carried out efficiently, safely and to a high standard. * Achieve production targets to maximise on-time shipping and customer satisfaction. Ensure the production departments react flexibly to changes in customer requirements. * Drive the production teams to produce and maintain the appropriate Performance metrics. * Responsible for initiating and implementing change projects that improve the departmental operation. * Working with QM, ensure clear feedback of quality issues into the relevant department. * Be a driving force for departmental and company improvements supporting continuous improvements and Lead initiatives. * Develop, train and motivate departmental staff. Carry out 1-2-1 meetings and first level disciplinary meetings. * Arrange temporary movement of team members into or out of departments to aid the achievement of company objectives. * Ensure a high standard of housekeeping is maintained in all departments. * Implement ESD procedures throughout the factory * Plan the production introduction of new products. Liaise with R&D and Quality departments on design for manufacture (DFMEA) of new products. Skills & qualification requirements; * Excellent product knowledge * Resilient, assertive and confident, able to interact with production staff as needed * Able to demonstrate excellent attention to detail. * Experience in lean manufacturing * Computer literate, familiar with Microsoft office * High level of communication skills * Ability to lead teams * Electrical / Electronic engineering qualifications is desirable If this role is of interest to you and you have the background and experience required please apply to arrange a convenient time for a phoen conversation.
