This is a wide-ranging role encompassing various tasks from daily administrative duties to managerial tasks. You will be reporting to the Directors of the firm. The successful applicant should be able to ensure the smooth and effective running of the office. Responsibilities: - Answering incoming telephone calls where necessary, dealing with enquiries and passing on messages. - Scheduling meetings and appointments. - Greeting visitors, directing them to meeting rooms and offering refreshments. - Preparing and tidying meeting rooms before and after meetings. - Ordering stationery and office supplies when required. - Maintaining the office condition and arranging necessary repairs (including liaising with the building manager and building receptionist). - Attending tenant meetings. - Liaise with all consultants on a daily/weekly/monthly basis (as necessary), including forwarding any post to them. - Filing and archiving (ensuring that both processes are constantly updated). - Update and maintain office policies and procedures as necessary. - Ensure all insurances are renewed annually and ensuring compliance with the SRA. This includes PI insurance, office insurance, D&O insurance and completing the SRA's Equality and Diversity questionnaire. - Renew Practising Certificates annually. - Ensure that the website is kept up to date. - Ensure that the Chambers UK/Legal 500 entries are kept up to date. - HR responsibilities including addressing employee queries and assisting in thee onboarding process of new hires. - Providing general administrative support to all employees and other duties as may reasonably be assigned to you from time to time. Requirements: - Previous experience as a Practice Manager or administrative assistant necessary (preferably within a law firm). - Proficiency in Microsoft Office. - Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritise workload. - Attention to detail and problem solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Strong organisation and planning skills in a fast-paced environment. Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum Hours: 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday (including an hour for lunch) Annual Leave: 20 days (plus statutory holidays) Benefits: Company Pension & Healthcare Location: Covent Garden
