Business Development Manager

An exciting opportunity to join our growing field based Bupa Health Clinics Business Development Team. As a Business Development Manager, working on your own initiative; you will have the ability to research and take ownership for the development and delivery of business goals. You will be required to take ownership for all elements of business development designated across Bupa Health Clinic's propositions

You will have the ability to research and take ownership for the development and delivery of business goals. You will grow the business working primarily through direct channels, building and fostering relationships with individuals and decision makers with the aim of growing and retaining business. You will also work with intermediaries to grow our business.

You will grow Bupa Health Clinics by shaping and driving business strategies and initiatives that serve to ensure extraordinary business performance whilst ensuring an outstanding customer experience.

Reporting into the National Sales Manager, day-to-day you will be required to collaborate with multiple functions across Bupa, including our internal sales teams, Tender, Commercial Finance, Marketing, Retention, Service and Actuarial to ensure you leverage maximum support from internal resources in order to exceed business objectives and growth targets across multiple product lines.

As a Business developer, you will have a strong bias for action and accountability. Being a result driven and tenacious individual, you should be able to demonstrate exceptional new business development and communication skills with a proven track record of meeting sales goals in a target driven environment, ideally within the health sector.

Specific Skills

  • IdeallyEducated to degree level
  • Strong and demonstrable track record of successfully developing and delivering business developments or propositions
  • Proven track record of delivering results and having a tangible business impact
  • Experienced leader with the ability to inspire and deliver innovative solutions through teams
  • Previous experience in a customer facing environment and understanding of drivers of customer service excellence
  • Comprehensive understanding of the political, legislative, and consumer environments affecting health care provision
  • Experience in a health related field
