Support Engineer (2nd Line Support) Great opportunity to join a growing IT Support company in Poole (currently an office of 8) supporting a wide range of clients from small to large corporate companies. You will be working with the support team and work closely with the directors providing 2nd Line Support with some 3rd Line Support on a wide range of tasks, from office based support to client facing support on clients site and project work. As you build your reputation within the organisation career progression to a more Technical 3rd line role is available within 6 - 12 months. Tasks will be diverse you will not know what the issues is on the other end of the phone or which client will need your help. Some tasks will include Supporting Systems, System Management, Supporting Users, Projects Migrations, upgrades and implementing new software. Must have skills: Microsoft technologies, Exchange, Active Directory, are necessary for this role. Ideally, you will understand Firewalls, virtualisation, networks, VIOP and routers. Must have full UK driving licence and own car. The ideal start date would be Mid-February but there is flexibility for notice period. However, the aim is to have the right candidate start ASAP.
