Product Support Enginee This Group is a medical device manufacturer and leading developer of their specific product designs and software solutions. Due to our accelerating technical licensing division, my client now requires a highly competent and technically excellent Product Support Engineer to support our rapid growth. The Group offers a competitive salary and ongoing personal development. You will work in a creative environment based in Luton with a talented group of individuals. The successful application will require: * A 1st or 2:1 degree in Computer Science or equivalent. * An excellent understanding of the technical fundamentals of the Microsoft .NET Framework, including versioning and deployment control. * Experience in Windows and DOS troubleshooting. * An excellent grounding in mathematical geometry, both 2D and 3D, as most of our software is used to create physical designs. * To enjoy customer facing relationships, and be able to easily understand customer requirements and concerns. * The ability to understand the physical manufacturing of contact lenses. * Excellent writing skills. Most of your work will be written (coding, email, documentation, etc.). Responsibilities: * Helping our international software licensees solve technical issues with our software and design platforms. * Develop relationships with our licensees, delivering software enhancements. * Answering questions from customers and prospective customers about the features and capabilities of our software and design platforms. * Developing customer-facing and internal documentation for our software and design platforms. * Communicating customer needs and wishes to our development and engineering staff. * Developing additional features to enhance the capabilities for our licensees. * Work is done primarily via email, with some phone contact, and may well require international customer visits
