Reed Accountancy are currently recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk for a large Construction & Utilities company based near Bury St Edmunds on a Temporary basis

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

- Process Purchase Ledger Invoices promptly and accurately
- Process Purchase Ledger Payments promptly and accurately, taking into account payment terms
- Reconcile Purchase Ledger Statements
- Liaise with suppliers and deal with disputed invoices, ensuring a professional and courteous approach is maintained in all circumstances to foster good working relationships with key suppliers
- Liaise with purchase requisitioners and approvers in the business to ensure prompt payment and correct treatment for any disputed invoices
- Produce CIS Reconciliations and complete online HMRC submissions

Preferred Qualities

- Good at working in a methodical and organised manner.
- High level of numeric skills

Desired Experience & Skills

- Purchase ledger experience would be an advantage
- Knowledge of working within an accounts environment
- Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure
- Experience in using Microsoft Office software
