World leading professional body is seeking an experienced Events Assistant to support their Events team at their central London offices.

This is a temporary role to start ASAP for a 5 week period and will pay between £11.00 and £13.00 per hour.

The Events Assistant will be the first point of contact for all event enquiries and is responsible for the customer journey, from the booking experience, contact with organisation in the lead up to an event. Duties include:
  • Manage the events enquiries email and customer service telephone channels. Responding to all email enquiries according to the department's service level agreements, answering the Customer Services telephone line and assisting with queries over the phone.
  • Enter new bookings and delegate and sponsorship revenues into the corporate database.
  • Making sure the customer experience from sign up to post-event is smooth and all information needed is delivered and care is taken in every case.
  • Maintaining a pipeline of potential delegate sales, keeping all information accurate and up to date to assist with financial forecasting and reporting.
  • Calling past delegates from large events to give them necessary information about current events and discounts available and assisting with bookings where necessary.
The ideal Events Assistant will have the following knowledge, skills and experience:
  • Experience of working in an administrative role, providing a highly customer focused service.
  • Good written English and the ability to produce own correspondence.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and engage with a wide range of people, tactfully and diplomatically.
  • Good telephone manner that is both professional and respectful.
  • High degree of professionalism, honesty and integrity.
  • Experience of utilising and navigating multiple applications/tools and databases.
  • Ability to work towards tight deadlines and manage priorities with good personal organisation and time management skills.
  • E-literate and competent in Microsoft Office applications.
