Female Relief Support Worker - Irlam Road
Our service in Irlam supports 4 ladies with learning disabilities within their own homes, the support team provides mixed level support to enable each lady to be supported in accordance to the person-centred framework.
The services consist of 2 bungalows next to door to each other and have ramped access, there is a number of adaptions to the properties to meet the needs of the person we support. The accommodation is provided in 4 bedrooms and both properties have communal areas and lovely outdoor space.
The service is located within the Flixton area of Greater Manchester within easy reach of local amenities such as the shopping centre, fitness centre and swimming pool, its location also has great bus links to the city centre.
The purpose of the service is to provide the people we support to lead fulfilled, active, person-centred lifestyles. We as a team aim to ensure an environment that is pleasant and stimulating and enjoyable. So we aim to provide person centred support to all the ladies that live at this service, the team are able to adapt their support to ensure they enjoy their lives as much as possible and reach their goals and potential.
Our staff team consists a group female support workers who have a mixture of skills, personalities and interest so that each person is able to share their hobbies and interests with others, our team members have great values that supports mencaps values system.
As a relief support worker you will be joining our team to provide direct support when needed during your shift, this may include providing personal care, dealing with medical and health issues, completing domestic tasks, liaising with families & professionals, completing delegated admin duties and taking part in social activities with the people we support. The service provides 24 hour care so flexibility to work days, evenings, nights, weekends and bank holidays is a must.
The role is diverse and dynamic and we require a person who is calm and understanding, has patience and is motivated and can work under their own initiative, we need someone who is willing to be a big team player and willing to get suck in.
Most of all we want someone who is caring and wants the best for the people we support.
Enhanced DBS is required for each successful candidate.
