IT Support Manager - Bournemouth - Permanent Position - £45,000 + £6,600 Car Allowance per annum.

My award winning client has been established for over 40 years and is a house hold name, employing circa 1,000 people across the UK. The organisation dominates an impressive 70% of its market niche and is listed on the London Stock Exchange.

Turn over in 2016 was circa £100,000,000 and the organisation has ambitious growth plans to double in size. As a national leader within their sector my client offers its expanding customer base a variety of exciting, sector related products and services. Due to organisational growth my client is actively seeking an experienced Business Analyst to join their team based out of their impressive Dorset offices.

Your new role

You will manage the delivery and performance of the IT service function, supporting the service desk, hardware deployment and on-site delivery teams, ultimately ensuring that all customer expectations are met.

Your responsibilities will therefore include: procurement, budget analysis, people management, hardware deployment, support escalations, desktop delivery and site mobilisation and maintenance.

In addition to this you should be prepared to lead the company through expansion- transforming and repositioning IT within the business, standardising the support service and altering the way problem management is controlled internally.

Your role will report directly to the Director of IT Operations as part of the IT Operations Management team.

What you'll need to succeed

You must have previous experience leading a team, with great success in managing a wide diversity of individuals.

You require an extensive background in computer support and service delivery experience with previous exposure to incident management, escalation procedures and related disciplines.

This will be reinforced by good knowledge of IT hardware and software solutions including a solid technical background in the following: VMWare, Citrix, Azure, Office 365, ServiceNow and VOIP telephony. You are required to have an ITIL Foundation Certificate or higher.

You should also be self-motivated; showing the ambition to drive your career at the forefront of a dedicated IT team. As the point of liaison across vendor relationships, you should have great interpersonal skills and be approachable from all levels of the business.
