The job:

The credit risk analyst will support retail (including Nemo) second line of defence by providing analysis to aid in critical evaluation of retail lending policies and maintenance of IRB Ratings Systems.

The role holder will deliver insightful and forward-looking credit risk analysis, provide accurate and timely information to external parties (including regulators, ratings agencies and investors) and provide support for the development, monitoring and maintenance of all credit risk measurement models.

What you’ll do:

  • Assist with provision of analysis to support critical evaluation of Retail Lending Policy and the Retail IRB approach.
  • Support production of management information that monitors the Retail lending exposures in relation to the risk appetite and assesses the ongoing suitability of the Retail IRB models for capital calculation purposes.

  • Ensure that all analysis and models are documented and signed off to the required standards and all relevant policy or procedure documents are maintained.

  • Develop and maintain an awareness of known and potential future regulatory changes that may affect either Retail credit risk appetite or the Retail IRB Rating System.

What we are looking for:

The role holder will have the ability to manage and prioritise their own workload and will possess a good knowledge of Microsoft office. The successful candidate must be able to analyse and interpret patterns and trends and have a keen eye for detail.

Practical experience of working in an analytical role within a retail lending (preferably secured lending) environment

Familiarity with use of predictive models for business use would be advantageous as would knowledge of SAS programming and data manipulation techniques.
