Independent Financial Adviser (Junior), London, £40k-£45k

Exciting opportunity for a developing Independent Financial Adviser to join a successful and growing Wealth Management practice within the Financial Planning team in an IFA role. Minimum 12 months Advisory experience and Level 4 Diploma required and a client bank available to inherit.

Specific Responsibilities

* Prospect / contact potential clients in accordance with business plan
* Analyse information and prepare plans best suited to individual client requirements
* Complete risk assessment as appropriate
* Research the market place and provide clients with information on new and existing products and services
* Assist in the designing financial strategies
* Assist clients to make informed decisions
* Research information from various sources, including providers of financial products
* Assist in reviewing and responding to clients changing needs and financial circumstances
* Negotiate with product suppliers for the best possible rates
* Ensure suitable recommendations are made
* Ensure that all supporting documentation is maintained

Effective Communication & Support

* Communicate with colleagues, clients and product providers in a professional manner, using appropriate business language and correct grammar
* Assist the wider team when needed and when there is capacity to do so


* Comply with the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000, the FCA Statements of Principle and Code of Practice and the relevant FAC rules at all times
* Comply with the relevant compliance, TCF, T&C, financial crime anti-money laundering, data security, anti-bribery and procedures of European Wealth at all times
* Ensure a detailed knowledge and understanding of European Wealth's compliance procedures including record keeping requirements
* Provision of advice to clients in a compliant manner as detailed in the firm's compliance manual and procedures
* Attain and maintain level of competence as required by the firm
* Maintain all standards of performance as required by the firm
* Ensure relevant CPD is maintained and recorded accurately
