An exciting opportunity has arisen for three whole-time equivalent (wte) experienced Senior Adult Psychotherapists or Clinical/Counselling Psychologists to work in the Multi-disciplinary Adult Psychotherapy service. One post is permanent and two are fixed term. The MAPS provides a specialist psychotherapy service to the adult population within Tayside. This involves the delivery of evidence based psychotherapy in four clinical pathways: Depression,; Anxiety; Trauma, and Enduring Interpersonal Problems. The service requires 3 wte Senior Adult Psychotherapists or Clinical/Counselling Psychologists who will contribute to specialist assessments, diagnosis, clinical interventions, evaluation and discharge planning. The post-holders will be based in either Dundee or Perth and will be required to work in other localities across Tayside based on the needs of the service.

We are seeking to appoint an experienced mental health professional with a relevant qualification such as Registered Mental Nurse, Social Worker, Clinical/Counselling Psychologist or other mental health qualification with significant post qualification experience in a mental health setting. Eligible applicants will have a Post-graduate Diploma level (or equivalent) professional psychotherapy training recognised by a relevant professional accreditation body, possess post psychotherapy qualification experience, supervision and continuing formal education, in-depth clinical expertise and experience and advanced theoretical and practical knowledge of a wide range of current psychotherapy practices. Clinical/Counselling psychology applicants will possess a post graduate Doctoral level training in clinical or counselling psychology and registration with the Health and Care Professions Council.

Excellent communication skills, the ability to work as part of a team, awareness of the limits of one's competence and expertise and the ability to work within those boundaries are also core to this post.
