About the Role:
They have a unique and exciting opportunity for an IT Support Analyst to join their small, friendly team based in Edington, Somerset, which is easily accessible from Bridgwater and Glastonbury. The primary focus will be to provide Tier 1 IT support for their range of photocopiers/printers/scanners, incorporating the installation and configuration of print drivers and trouble-shooting issues that arise. The role will also be responsible for the set up and maintenance of scan to email and network folder configurations, solving any subsequent issues as required.
The role will also include providing basic support for hardware malfunctions and errors, such as: removing paper cassettes, resetting machines to factory defaults and advising customers how to clear various error messages.
You will also be responsible for machine assembly (including unboxing, device setup and configuration) including commissioning and set-up for ready for customer delivery and installation. In addition, you will also be involved with refurbishing ex-lease machines in preparation for re-sale.
Taking into account the small size of the company, in this role you will also provide support with general office administrative tasks including answering the office telephone, preparing toner deliveries for despatch and the collection of meter readings.
To be considered for this opportunity, ideally you will have some previous experience in an IT support capacity. From a technical perspective, you will need to possess a basic understanding of Windows operating systems/architecture, the basics of Mac OS X, knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office products and a basic IT/networking knowledge would be beneficial. It would also be advantageous if you have working knowledge of IT hardware, taking into account the nature of the role.
Importantly, you will need to be a team player with the ability to think outside of the box and work well under your own initiative. You will have an analytical mindset with the ability to effectively troubleshoot.
